Parents often place dangerous objects on the top shelf, out of the reach of inquisitive hands. Powerlines are no different. While they are just out of the reach of most, there are thousands of kilometres traversing the landscape, unsupervised. When you consider their alleged role in the Black Saturday bushfires of 2008, their presence amongst bushland is a precarious necessity.
